Before you bid

Before you place a bid you should ensure that the property matches your needs and you would be happy to live there. You can check out the area online, using the Street View and Local Information tabs on the advert, or visit the area in person if you would like to get a ‘feel’ for it. You can also try out public transport routes, or local facilities such as shops, pubs or day centres. However you must not try to access the property as there may still be someone living there.

Also pay close attention to any age restrictions, and restrictions regarding pets if this affects you.

You are only able to bid on 3 adverts that are open at one time, so ensure you do not waste your bids. However, if another property is advertised that you prefer whilst you still have 3 live bids, you can delete one of these and then bid on the new property.
